Pat Cash is a co-founder and the Patron of Youth of Tomorrow,
and recognised as one of the greats of tennis.

Known for his trademark checkered headband, at the height of his career
Pat won the men’s singles championship at Wimbledon in 1987.

He was also the first player ever to climb the stands and up to the players box at Wimbledon to celebrate his victory with his family and team. This started a Wimbledon tradition and is still followed by many tennis champions.

As a retired Australian tennis player, Pat spends much of his time supporting philanthropy work and advocates for many worthy causes.

Youth of Tomorrow was founded on the notions of giving back to Aussie kids.

The program began with the launch of a commemorative education program at Melbourne Park (home of the Australia Open) in 2008. With increased interest and demand over the years, the program was launched at Pat Rafter Arena at the Queensland Tennis Centre in 2017, followed by Ken Rosewall Arena at Sydney Olympic Park in 2019.

 

In 2020, the program was relaunched as the Schools Future Fit Program promoting five key life skills and categories linked to the Australian Curriculum:

1. Social inclusion and diversity
2. Physical health
3. Mental wellbeing
4. Gender equality and
5. Sustainability.

 

The program has successfully achieved record youth participation numbers of up to 12,000 from Victoria, Queensland and New South Wales.

 

Pat believes in creating life–changing experiences for youth today to build stronger communities tomorrow. The programs success is a testament of Pat’s commitment to supporting young people in Australia.
