Tennis NSW and Youth of Tomorrow have partnered once again to launch the national Schools Future Fit Program at the world-class Ken Rosewall Arena on 23-24 May 2024.
This year, the Schools Future Fit Program will be delivered for the first time in Australia over two days and will have up to 600 year 6 students engaged in the national program.
The program was last delivered in New South Wales in 2019 with hundreds of students in attendance from low socio-economic public schools. The return of the Schools Future Fit Program has excited local schools once again, with seven confirmed to attend over two days.
The registered schools include:
- Greenacre Public School
- Hilltop Road Public School
- Yagoona Public School
- Warwick Farm Public School
- Liverpool Public School
- Condell Park Public School
- Parramatta North Public School
Tennis legend and Patron Pat Cash welcomed the announcement and the strengthened partnership with Tennis NSW.
“The expansion of the national program is an investment in Aussie kids. Students from New South Wales will experience for the first time, a youth empowerment program that is life-changing and delivered at a venue fit for our young champions of tomorrow,” Pat Cash said.
Chief Executive Officer Umit Oraloglu said:
“Everyone involved in the development and transformation of the Schools Future Fit Program should be proud of their commitment to providing opportunities for youth in New South Wales.”
The fully funded, Australian curriculum enriched education program delivers comprehensive life-skills and is underpinned by the UN Sustainable Development Goals. This is to harness the notions of respect, integrity, diversity and inclusivity with an emphasis on people and planet.
