The 4th edition of the Schools Future Fit Program was staged once again at the world-class Pat Rafter Arena on 10 September.
Over 300 students from Queensland were excited to attend their first Youth of Tomorrow’s national education program – fit with a commemorative education presentation, tennis drills on court and a tour of the Pat Rafter Arena.
The Schools Future Fit Program highlights the value of students and how they can fulfill their individual potential. The Program allows students to engage, be creative and social, and develop personal aspirations for their future.
Tennis Legend and Co-founder Pat Cash said:
“Seven years ago, we launched Youth of Tomorrow in Queensland with five local councils to provide disadvantaged youth with life skills and opportunities. Today, we are seeing more schools and youth from Queensland participate in this life-changing program.”
Chief Executive Officer of Youth of Tomorrow Umit Oraloglu said:
“This is a fully funded program for youth and delivered with a vast collaboration of our industry partners to give back to Aussie kids.”
Schools Future Fit Program facts:
- The Program is fully funded by the government and industry
- A national education program is staged for year 6 students
- Since 2008, Youth of Tomorrow has hosted approximately 12,000 students
- Department of Veterans’ Affairs provides an annual gift of a World War I educational booklet to all student attendees
- Each participating school is provided with a free Australian Tennis Foundation after school tennis program led by qualified coaches for a full term.
